Holiday Events in Santa Barbara (October – December)

Halloween 2024 is fast approaching and then before we know it, it’s Thanksgiving and then all those other winter holidays. Whether you live in Santa Barbara or coming for a visit there are a lot of things to do – here is the beginning list to get you started on looking at some of those holiday events. There will be more posts about the holidays and events coming in hot.

The Santa Barbara Zoo has some very fun events for the kids, but keeps parents entertained. Here is a link to the events calendar. Boo at the Zoo and then my favorite Zoo Lights starts in November and I am like SO excited to go.

Giraffe Feeding at Santa Barbara Zoo when my baby was a little skeptical peanut!

Chocolate experiences with Menchaca. They are offer a ton of chocolate experiences and workshops. I don’t even like chocolate that much, but how can you not wanna do something like this with friends or even with people you don’t know! Menchaca Chocolate Experiences.

Seaside Sock Skating at the Moxi is coming in hot in November. I can’t stand going outside in just socks, but this is a fun reason to go outside with our sockies on. See more about the sock skating here.

Take a ride up to Buellton for a Cowboy Christmas. Fridays and Saturdays 3:30-7:30 (from Black Friday to Christmas). Events happen November 29 – December 29. Check schedule for the events calendar. Santa Clause may or may not be making an appearance,

The Rosewood Miramar offer an array of holiday events starting on December 5 with their annual holiday event and stroll from 5:00-7:00pm. Santa may even make an appearance. On December 24th and 25th there will be “snowfall” and a concert and more.  Santa will be super busy getting ready for Christmas so he probably won’t be showing his face. They also have menorah lightings, carolers singing in the lobby, a kid’s new year bash and more! For more info on holiday events and beyond, check the schedule here.
For as long as I can remember Paseo Nuevo mall has offered nightly “snowfall” from just after Thanksgiving through December 31. They usually offer it on the half hour from 5:30 -7:30. I don’t see it on their website, so stay tuned to find out if it’s happening this year!
