Things to do in Santa Barbara: We’ve updated and added new tours!
Taste Santa Barbara Food Tours was started around 2014 and began as one downtown food tour. Over the years, the tour has had the pleasure of starting to work with new local tasting partners and has sadly seen some of their partners close. It’s been pretty wild to be part of the energy behind this business and while I have had an idea of how I thought it was going to look, seeing how it ends up looking. Businesses really do have their own energies.
Our beloved Original Downtown Food Tour has been updated over the years. We still visit many of our old faves and have incorporated manynew local partners. Tasting locations may vary depending on the day of the week.The route has gone through several changes since the inception of the tour in 2014 and Covid. State street is finally a pedestrian walk way, although, who knowshow much longer that will be.
For many years, we started to notice how many delicious and taquerias were on and just off state street. I had been contemplating a taco centric tour for many years.
In 2021, we launched the first downtown taco trail tour
Featuring local downtown taquerias. About a year ago another taco tour popped up, having no relation to ours. If you are looking for a taco tour, make sure it’s ours. Or go on theirs, I am sure it is fun. Taste Santa Barbara’s Taco Tour is the Original (or OG) Downtown Taco Tour. Picture this: Downtown SB, 5 different types of tacos and more alcohol is included that the og tour (or no alcohol).
The Downtown Tour, mini version: 3.5 hours of awesomeness doesn’t work for everyone schedule or attention span, we offer a 2 hour OG DT Tour – featuring 3-4 tasting locations.

Fun Fact: When I first launched the tours, one million years ago, all guides wore party packs. Fanny packs that said Party, so you could identify your guide.
