It is always exciting (for me) to see great articles written about Taste Santa Barbara Food Tours, walking food and drink tours.
I love reading about people’s experiences on any walking or not walking food tour, I especially love reading about one of our guest’s great experiences on a Taste Santa Barbara Food Tour. I often remind people, food tours aren’t just about the food. Yes, the food is very important, but it is more than just the food, it is about the experience as a whole.
On a beautiful Sunday afternoon in November 2023, we had the pleasure of having a super fun group join us (let’s be real, 99.9% of our groups are super fun). A few of the guests were, Elle Online and SafariLounge.com writer, Yuki Miyahara & Tomoya Takeuchi, travel creator (check out Tiktok & IG) as well as some other super fun guests that I won’t name.
The group took our OG tour – The Original Downtown Walking Food & Drink Tour in downtown Santa Barbara.
“..it is interesting to see the secrets of the culture being revealed.”
Yuki’s group had an itinerary that travelled along the Central Coast, highlighting culinary and outdoor activities. Their final days were in Santa Barbara. When I was sent the articles, I couldn’t help but giggle, the titles of both articles are so perfectly. They encompass some of the beauty both hidden and right in front of you in Santa Barbara and all along the Central Coast.
Have an adult adventure on the California Central Coast in 2024!
Here are the destinations for 2024! Go to the California Central Coast, a utopia to soothe your soul…
The world seems to be getting more and more into the idea of having more and more experiences. It used to be eat a meal, go do something. Now, you can eat at multiple restaurants, do a wine tasting and learn all in one 3 hour tour. Food tours are great for the ADD people (me) in the world. We don’t have to focus on one thing for too long and we get to move our bodies at the same time.

The articles were both written in Japanese, my chrome browser translated them to english.
Yuki’s words about their trip really captures the essence and vibe of her Central Coast experiences
“DAY 4 : Paso Robles ~ Santa Barbara – Experience California’s nature with your whole body
DAY 5 : Santa Barbara – Recharge your mind and stomach!”
When you start a little company, as a side hustle, not knowing where you are going to go with it, it is pretty wild to reflect on it 10 years later on it and see how much things have shifted and grown. Taste Santa Barbara is my first baby, starting with our first tour 10 years ago, The Original Downtown Food Tour.
Since then we started The Downtown Taco Tour which explores our specially curated downtown taco trail in 2022. Launching soon (early 2024) we are launching the Mini Downtown Food Tour.
We also offer a variety of private and custom tours for groups of all sizes both in downtown Santa Barbara and the Funk Zone.
“Take The Original Downtown Santa Barbara Food Tour in downtown Santa Barbara…There are so many options that it can be hard to decide where to eat, but you want to try as many restaurants and flavors as possible within your limited time. What we recommend is a food tour of six restaurants and cafes led by a local guide.”
The statement above is exactly one of the top reasons I wanted to start a walking food tour in Santa Barbara. Where do you eat? How do you decide? Where do I wine? It can make anyone’s head spin a little. But on our tours, you don’t have to think, once you book, we do the rest for you (we do give some options, but nothing that will make you go nutty).
“It’s also fun to go around in a group with strangers. Let’s share each other’s SNS, expand our circle of friends, and fill our hearts and stomachs with happiness!”
Thank you for joining us, now, go book a walking food & drink tour.
