We are deep in the holiday season and it is time to get all of your gifts for all the people. The world is chaos and as a mother of two small kids, 3 dogs, 7 chickens, we have a lot of stuff and chaos all the time, suggestions help me a lot. Sometimes it can be overwhelming to choose the “perfect” gift for people. Forget perfect, a “suitable” gift for the ones who are difficult to gift. So, I have come up with a few different list ideas. This one being mostly consisting of Santa Barbara experiences (not just good for holidays but gifting ideas for any celebration). Do you wine? 
If you like wine tasting (like these folks and myself) perhaps it’s time to take a trip to a couple downtown tasting rooms (a trip via, someone else driving).
Some of our personal favorite wine tasting rooms right now are: Grassini, Frequency, Kunin, Margerum, Fess Parker, Paradise Springs, Pali (also a local Pacific Palisadian in SB).
There are so many more amazing wineries, I can’t even mention them all. There is A LOT of local wine to explore right in our Santa Barbara backyard. More and more are also opening in Goleta like Samsara – It rocks that great wine can be found all over Santa Barbara County!

During the winter months at the SB Zoo….
The Santa Barbara Zoo offers an awesome evening light experience called Zoo Lights. The lights are set up through the month of December. This is only the second year that they have done zoo lights and already, the experience is better than the last year. 90% of the lights are new and there are so many more lights to look at!
